BACKGROUND:

2023 - 2024 Buddy is a revolutionary dive app that was designed to get more people diving! Buddy connects divers across the globe to better protect, share, and explore the earth’s oceans.

In 2023, Buddy launched the Buddy Explorer program to introduce Buddy to dive communities. Explorers were selected for their passion for diving and the ocean and tasked with using their digital storytelling to bring divers together on the Buddy app. 
 

In 2024, Explorers announced Buddy's biggest campaign to date:  The 2024 Treasure Hunt. This global, year-long campaign turns every dive logged in the Buddy app into a chance to unlock real world treasure with new finds dropping every month. 

From dive instructors and local shop owners, ocean researchers and conservationists, and seasoned pros to hobbyists, Buddy Explorers are a powerful group of creators playing an important role in Buddy's disruption of the dive industry.
